Ranked as one of the top bass fishing spots in the U.S., Pickwick is renowned for its smallmouth and largemouth catches. Other sport fish include catfish, sauger, crappie, white bass, striped bass, spotted bass, and bluegill. Several guide services are available. Pickwick is also well known for its water recreation opportunities such as skiing, boating, canoeing, swimming and lake front camping.

Golf Digest has awarded this facility “Three Stars” in the Places to Play category. Hole #2, a tight dogleg right Par 4, 396 yards, is the Signature Hole with out of bounds protecting the entire right side of the fairway. Driving Range, Practice Green, On Site Lodging, Snack Bar, Club Rental. Lessons Available.  Tee times required 7 days a week. Open daily, closed on Christmas Day.

Pickwick Outdoors specializes in individual and company outings for golf, boating and guided fishing trips for crappie, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rockfish, catfish, sauger and white bass. Moored at Pickwick Landing State Park, boats available for rental include Coast Guard Approved Maxi-Toons for up to 12 people and Ski-Toons for up to 10 people.  Deposit required.  Rental periods available are one day or multi-day.  Office open March thru Labor Day 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
