Buford Pusser Festival

May 14 - May 16

The legacy of Buford Pusser will once again come alive as the annual Buford Pusser
Festival returns for three exciting days, May 14–16. Hosted in the heart of McNairy County, this
beloved event blends entertainment, history, and community spirit into one unforgettable weekend.
Festivalgoers can expect a lively atmosphere featuring a full-scale carnival, live music, and a wide
range of activities for all ages. The entertainment lineup includes performances by the Dwight
Wadkins Band, Bryan Moffitt, Wayne Jerrolds, and Elvis impersonator Steve Warren, offering
something for every musical taste.
Beyond the music, the festival packs in a variety of crowd-favorite events. Visitors can catch the
action with Hub City Wrestling, enjoy the charm and tradition of the Miss Walking Tall Pageant, and
bring the whole family out for interactive fun like the petting zoo. Each event celebrates the unique
culture and storytelling that define this corner of Southwest Tennessee.
Step Back in Time: Historic Bus Tour Highlights the Weekend
A major highlight of the festival takes place on Saturday, May 16, with the Buford Pusser Historic Bus
Tour—an immersive experience that dives deep into the life and legend of the iconic lawman who
inspired the Walking Tall films
